A day in the 10th around Les Deux Gares
A vibrant, foodie-friendly, and cosmopolitan neighborhood, perfect for exploring on foot.
No need to go far. From Hôtel Les Deux Gares, the 10th arrondissement reveals itself through its streets, markets, covered passages, and canal quays.
Here are a few of our top picks for a day in the neighborhood.
Start at the Marché Saint-Quentin
Head to the Marché Saint-Quentin covered market, located on Boulevard Magenta between the neighborhood's two main train stations.
Under its grand hall, you'll find a succession of stalls: fruits and vegetables, flowers, fresh produce, and international cuisine. You’ll see locals doing their shopping alongside those just stopping by for lunch. It’s the perfect way to start the day by experiencing the daily life of the 10th.

Get lost in the Faubourg Saint-Denis area
Next, continue toward the Faubourg Saint-Denis, one of those Parisian streets where everything seems to coexist.
Local shops, cafés, restaurants, and vintage storefronts... A little further on, the Passage Brady, built in the 19th century, offers a change of scenery.
Nicknamed Little India, this covered passage is home to numerous Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, and Mauritian shops and restaurants.

Strolling along the Canal Saint-Martin
To slow things down, head to the Canal Saint-Martin.
With its quays, locks, swing bridges, and footbridges, the canal offers a completely different pace. Once an industrial and transit hub, it is now one of the most iconic places for a walk in the 10th arrondissement.
You can wander along the water with no real destination, cross a footbridge, stop for a few minutes on the quays, and simply watch the boats go by.

Back to Les Deux Gares
At the end of the day, head back to Rue des Deux Gares.
You can finish up with a drink or a bite to eat at Deux Gares Express, then return to the hotel’s colorful decor.
